The Russian Foreign Ministry responded to Azerbaijan's "trial" to the Artsakh military-political leadership

The Information and Press Department of the Russian Foreign Ministry commented on the issue of Former Artsakh Minister Ruben Vardanyan and other representatives of the NKR military-political leadership in response to the "Raunch" information-analytical center.

"The trial of the former leadership of Artsakh is under gross human rights violations in Baku. Ruben Vardanyan has decided to go on hunger strike as a sign against the law of protest in response to gross violations of international and Azerbaijani trial law. I understand that Ruben Vardanyan and former leaders of Artsakh are not citizens of the Russian Federation.

But in allowing Russia's long mediation to the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, Moscow has been grossly violated by the Artsakh authorities, and the accusations of which are indirectly touched by the Azerbaijani authorities, "said the media correspondent.

As you have noticed correctly, these individuals are not Russian citizens. We are trusting that the inclusion of humanitarian issues on the agenda of the Armenian-Azerbaijani bilateral talks will contribute to the formation of a trust atmosphere between Baku and Yerevan.

In our turn, we confirm our commitment to the trilateral agreements of the leaders of Russia, Azerbaijan and Armenia, including the need to resolve the rights of refugees, the search for cultural, historical and religious heritage, and the exchange of detainees during the fighting.

We are ready to provide our Azerbaijani and Armenian partners with their necessary assistance, "the Russian Foreign Ministry's information and press department said.
