Crashed drone found in field in Moldova

Residents of the village of Salcea in southern Moldova have found a drone lying in a field that did not contain explosives, the country's General Police Inspectorate reported.

Since the beginning of the Russian military operation against Ukraine, fragments of drones have been repeatedly found in Moldova. Similar cases have been recorded near Cauzenii, Criuleni, Riscani, as well as in Chisinau, but the competent authorities have not provided evidence as to which side in the conflict these drones belong to.

"A drone was found in Taraclia, near the village of Salcea, and it turned out that there were no explosives in the drone," the report said.

It is noted that the drone was found by local residents, who reported the discovery to emergency services. Specialists are currently working at the scene.

On December 20, the Moldovan army received a GM 200 air surveillance radar from France, worth about 14 million euros.
