Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko also spoke about the dissatisfaction of the Armenian leadership towards Belarus, reports BELTA.
"They are angry with me because I supported Azerbaijan. God be with you, I have always supported common sense, I was in favor of no war, we should not fight each other," he said.
Lukashenko noted that he once acted as a mediator between the leaders of Azerbaijan and Armenia, trying to contribute to the peaceful settlement of the territorial dispute. And the President of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev, offered economic cooperation and investments.
"Aliyev did not even intend to go to war with Armenia," said the leader of Belarus.
"What happened is the fault of the Armenian leadership, only their fault," he emphasized.
"Moreover, RA Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan himself accepted the territorial ambitions towards Azerbaijan in his statements, when he could not have done so. "Pashinyan himself refused Nagorno Karabakh.
Although at that moment Ilham was ready to agree that it is an area where Armenia will have a serious influence," said the head of state.
Lukashenko also emphasized that he had and still has a good attitude towards Armenia and the Armenian people.
He did not deny that Belarus sold weapons to Azerbaijan, stressing that they were open to Armenia as well.
"He who paid money also received goods," Lukashenko said.
