Today, the discussion of the initiative of extra-parliamentary forces regarding Armenia's EU membership has started in the Parliament.
The draft law "On the initiation of the accession process of the Republic of Armenia to the European Union" is discussed at the session of the Standing Committee on European Integration of the National Assembly.
Deputies of the CP faction of the National Assembly, Armen Gevorgyan and Elinar Vardanyan from the "Armenia" faction are present.
The representative of the "Republic" party Artak Zeynalyan is the main speaker of the project, the chairman of the "European" Party of Armenia Tigran Khzmalyan, the head of the "For the Republic" party Arman Babajanyan, Ruben Mehrabyan and representatives of political society are also present.
Arman Yeghoyan, the chairman of the Standing Committee on European Integration of the National Assembly, said that the draft law "On the initiation of the accession process of the Republic of Armenia to the European Union" will be included in the agenda of the next four-day sessions.
