A breakthrough year for the Yerevan branch of Plekhanov Russian University of Economics

In 2024, G.V. The Yerevan branch of the Plekhanov Russian University of Economics recorded steady growth in all the main lines of activity.

"I think that 2024 was a breakthrough year for the Yerevan branch. We registered a quantitative increase in the number of students with the existing education, held many scientific and educational events, the 10th jubilee issue of our scientific journal was published, by the way, it is included in BOK and РИНЦ, we have an increase in recognition in the public and media sphere, and, finally, the RA government we signed a free rental agreement for the property. Here is a partial list of our successes. Therefore, we can unequivocally say that the year was a success," emphasizes Tamara Vardanyan, director of the branch.

"The results of the admission of 2024 testify to the increasing attractiveness of our educational programs. High results were recorded in the admission programs, especially in the "Economics" and "Management" faculties. There was strong competition for budget seats.

The average score of the admission exam grades has also increased, which indicates a gradual increase in the preparation of the applicants," says Alina Grigoryan, secretary of the university's admissions committee. We should also note that the branch's additional educational programs have expanded.

In 2024, 9 additional professional educational programs were implemented, including: "State and City Management", "Marketing", "Export Leaders" (in cooperation with the RA Strategic Development Center Foundation), "SMM and Digital Marketing". During the year, the university became a platform for holding a number of international events: "Dictation of Victory", "Economic dictation", "General (total) dictation", "Ethnographic dictation".

The branch signed a cooperation agreement with Changchun University (China) in order to expand the list of additional educational programs. University students participated in professional Olympiads and competitions held in Moscow, Sochi and other places, registering high indicators. In 2025, the branch will continue its active scientific, educational and public activities.
