The grandfather of Defense Minister Suren Papikyan, Suren Shamiri Papikyan, died. This year would have been his 100th birthday.

The funeral ceremony of Suren Shamir Papikyan, a veteran of the Great Patriotic War, will be held on January 21, from 17:00, in the St. Sargis Church of Stepanavan.
