The Chairman of the Investigative Committee of the Republic of Armenia, Artur Poghosyan, today received the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the Russian Federation to the Republic of Armenia.
Artur Poghosyan, welcoming the ambassador, highlighted the international-legal cooperation formed between the RA Investigative Committee and the RF Embassy in RA.
The Russian Ambassador congratulated the Chairman of the Investigative Committee on his appointment and thanked him for the initiative of the meeting.
During the conversation, the Chairman of the Investigative Committee referred to the unfulfilled investigative requirements within the framework of mutual legal assistance and expressed hope that effective steps will be taken in that direction.
Reference was also made to a number of persons who are evading criminal justice in a number of criminal proceedings and are in the Russian Federation.
Other agreements of mutual interest were also reached during the meeting.
The parties expressed their willingness to ensure a high level of effective interaction, noting that the further development of cooperation in compliance with procedures also depends on it.
