I act as a person who lived and was born in Armenia all his conscious life. I have built many factories, buildings, hotels, kindergartens, schools, churches, created tens of thousands of jobs. I myself have become a large owner and created an opportunity for tens of thousands of families to work, establish a home, raise children, form new families, feel good in their own homeland, settle down. During these years, I got to know very well the structure and all the features of our economy.
At the end of 2024, the officials of the economic bloc of our government proudly mentioned the importance of EAEU for the RA economy. Only one indicator is enough to make a complete picture. RA's trade with EAEU countries has exceeded 10 billion dollars.
This is 2 times more than last year. Dear compatriots. this economic indicator, in simple words, is the trade we do with the countries of that economic bloc. It is our Armenian products that we export to those markets, which allows money to enter our country, businesses to work, new jobs to be opened, wages to rise, taxes to be paid, etc.
And here, the same government starts the year 2025 with the announcement about the EU accession process of RA, approving the corresponding draft law. I am not referring to the political aspect of the issue, because they did not invite us to the EU, and they do not expect us there. I am talking exclusively from the economic point of view, that this step can lead to the economic collapse of our country.
These words of mine have two recipients. first, the business community, which knows better than anyone how difficult it is to find and keep export markets in the modern world, and knows very well that 1-2 thoughtless, uncalculated steps can very quickly lead to losses, bankruptcy and the dusting of a lifetime's work.
