The White House said that Ukraine should decide its own destiny

US National Security Adviser Jake Sullivan has outlined the key principles he believes should underpin any agreement to end the conflict in Ukraine.

He emphasized that any agreement should give Ukraine the right to make independent decisions regarding its territory, population and sovereignty. At the same time, the interference of third party states, including the USA, in these processes is unacceptable.

Sullivan also expressed concern about the possibility of a resumption of fighting after the signing of the peace agreement. Sullivan believes the West must play a key role in providing these guarantees to prevent any attempt by Russia to resume hostilities after a ceasefire is established.

Thus, the position of the American administration emphasizes the importance of not only the cessation of hostilities, but also the establishment of stable peace in Ukraine.
