As it is known, a competition is currently underway for the post of Deputy Coordinator of the RA General Prosecutor's Office, coordinating the field of functions aimed at the confiscation of property of illegal origin (as a result of Srbuhi Galyan's transfer to another position).
Together with Artur Sakunts, we sent a letter of recommendation to the Prosecutor General, in which we proposed to appoint the senior prosecutor of the same department, Gevorg Kocharyan, for the following reasons:
1. Gevorg Kocharyan has three higher educations, two of which - financial and legal - are the best combination of competence in the given field.
2. Gevorg Kocharyan has worked in the Department of Confiscation of Illegally Sourced Assets since its establishment, has promoted the most complex and public-sounding cases, participated in studies of international experience in the field,
3. before his current position, Gevorg Kocharyan had many years of experience in conducting both prosecutorial and economic and accounting examinations,
4. Gevorg Kocharyan's benevolence and ideological dedication regarding the confiscation of property of illegal origin is beyond any doubt.
5. According to lawyers and judges, Gevorg Kocharyan was recognized as the prosecutor with the highest rating in the anti-corruption field.
