A HRD rapid response team has been dispatched to the police station to meet those arrested from Gumi market

As a result of the monitoring of mass media and social platforms, information was received that the situation in Yerevan's gum market is very tense at the moment. SATM employees and Police officers do not allow butchers to trade.

Later, it was also reported that a number of traders were arrested and taken to the Police Station.

Based on the above, on the instructions of Human Rights Defender Anahit Manasyan, a rapid response team went to the Police Department in order to have a private conversation with the arrested and to get to know and record the state of ensuring their rights on the spot.

The issue raised by the butchers regarding the lack of slaughterhouses in the respective settlements will also be a subject of study in the defender's staff.

The results of the visit will be summarized, necessary measures will be taken within the competence of the Human Rights Defender.
