On December 13, the police officers of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the food safety inspection body made another joint inspection visit to the shops selling meat on Khorenatsi Street in Yerevan.
This is reported by the Ministry of Internal Affairs. Police officers ensured public order. During the dispute between the police officers and the gathered citizens, one of the citizens poured gasoline on himself and tried to set himself on fire, which was prevented by the police.
Seven more people who took part in the incident were arrested on direct suspicion of hooliganism and intentional damage to property, and were taken to the police. Appropriate documents are drawn up regarding them for submission to the pre-trial body.
