The US submarine arrived off the coast of Cuba a day after the arrival of the Russian submarine

A US Navy nuclear submarine arrived in the Caribbean Sea off the southeastern coast of Cuba on June 13, a day after Russian warships entered the port of Havana. This was reported by the US Southern Command on the X social network. According to the report, the Helena attack submarine is in Guantanamo Bay, Cuba "as part of a planned visit". The American submarine "carries out a mission to ensure national security and global security at sea." The message also states that "the ship's location and transit were planned earlier." According to Sabrina Singh, the Pentagon's deputy spokeswoman, the visit of the Russian warships does not pose a threat to the United States, but their movements continue to be closely monitored. The Russian nuclear submarine "Kazan", the frigate "Admiral Gorshkov" of the Soviet Union Navy, the medium sea tanker "Akademikos Pashin" and the rescue tug "Nikolai Chiker" arrived at the port of Havana on June 12. As reported by the Ministry of Revolutionary Armed Forces of Cuba, the ships will remain there until June 17. The Cuban authorities explained the visit with the Russian Federation as "historic friendly relations".
