Ricardo Martinez Vasquez, the newly appointed ambassador of Spain to Armenia, presented his credentials to President Vahagn Khachaturian. Congratulating the ambassador on his appointment, the president wished him a fruitful period of office and hoped that his activities would contribute to the further strengthening of bilateral relations between the two countries and the enrichment of the agenda.
"Armenia and Spain have a great potential for multi-layered cooperation in economy, culture, education and other fields, which can be realized through joint efforts," the president noted.
The newly appointed ambassador thanked for the reception and stressed that his important mission is to strengthen the cooperation between the two countries in different directions.
During the conversation, both sides emphasized the need for further promotion of intergovernmental, parliamentary interaction in various formats, as well as the importance of high-level political dialogue.
The parties also positively recorded the effective cooperation between the two countries, both bilaterally and on the European Union platform.
During the meeting, steps aimed at expanding cooperation in economy, agriculture, business, space, educational and cultural and other fields were highlighted.
