In this regard, the members of the GCC expressed their satisfaction with the work being carried out, highlighting the efforts aimed at the beautification and brightness of the spiritual center of all Armenians. Vazgen Archbishop Mirzakhanyan, referring to the challenges that threaten the national identity in the Diaspora communities, Armenian education, the pristine preservation of the Armenian language and culture, as well as overcoming them in favor of the Church and the role of national structures operating in the Diaspora.
Emphasizing the need to strengthen communities by involving youth in the Homeland and Diaspora, to develop and implement new educational programs, to develop schools and cultural centers, to preserve national identity and to strengthen spiritual values, the State Council ordered a comprehensive study on the issue.
The leader of the Diocese of Artsakh, T. The congregation confirmed that the issues of return of captives held illegally in Azerbaijan, preservation of the spiritual and cultural heritage of Artsakh, protection of the rights of Artsakh Armenians, condemnation of the genocidal acts of Azerbaijan should be kept open on the international agenda, while simultaneously working on national unity, concentration of national potential, cooperation between Armenia and Diaspora. in the direction of proper organization.
The Supreme Spiritual Council reaffirmed its commitment to support all those initiatives aimed at protecting the rights of the Armenian people, preserving the national identity and establishing peace in the region.
Director of the KDP T. Zakaria the Most Reverend Baghumyan presented to the congregation the road map of the educational program of Sunday schools, the goal of which is to coordinate the activities of Sunday schools and increase the effectiveness of the spiritual education and upbringing of the young generation. will promote the formation of children's spiritual and moral profile and consciousness and the preservation of national values.
The GCC also discussed the issue of convening the Church-Representative Assembly (ECA). Reference was made to the preparatory work of the meeting, the formation of the agenda, the election of deputies and organizational issues. During the meeting, other issues related to the activity of dioceses, canonical and administrative life of the church were also discussed.
The meeting of the Supreme Spiritual Council ended with the blessing of the Catholicos of All Armenians and the "Guardian" prayer.
