Under the leadership of Deputy Prosecutor General of the Republic of Armenia Aram Aramyan, on February 13, 2026, the works of the Prosecutor's Office of Aragatsotn Region for 2025 were summarized.
Prosecutor of Aragatsotn region Nikolay Barseghyan, heads of regional structures of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, National Security Service, Investigative Committee, prosecutors of the region's prosecutor's office, and others participated in the summary.
Nikolay Barseghyan, presenting the 2025 work report of the Prosecutor's Office of Aragatsotn region, noted that 2060 criminal proceedings were initiated (in 2024: 1928 criminal proceedings).
During the reporting period, 566 criminal proceedings against 573 persons were submitted to the court with an indictment approved by prosecutors (in 2024: 649 criminal proceedings against 670 persons).
In 2025, 451 criminal cases against 460 persons were concluded in courts (in 2024: 658 criminal cases against 676 persons).
The damage caused to the state by criminal proceedings amounted to 185 million 806 thousand drams. In 2025, 59 million 984 thousand drams were recovered from the damage caused to the state by criminal proceedings.
Referring to the works carried out in the field of protection of state (community) interests, the prosecutor of the region informed that in 2025, the 4 ha plot of land designated as a "special protected area" in the Orgov settlement was returned to the Ashtarak community of Aragatsotn region. The cadastral value approximated to the market: 31 million 680 thousand drams.
