"Zhoghovurd" daily writes:
"The information related to the real estate acquired by Hayk Konjoryan, the head of the "Civil Agreement" faction of the Armenian National Assembly, has been officially confirmed. In response to the written inquiry of the "Zhoghovurd" daily, the Anti-Corruption Committee stated that verification operations are being carried out in relation to this transaction.
On the basis of information of high public interest, we sent a written request to Artur Nahapetyan, the chairman of the RA Anti-Corruption Committee, asking him to clarify the information circulating about the real estate acquired by the CP faction leader Hayk Konjoryan.
It refers to the private house located at 7/19, Arinj B district, Abovyan community, Kotayk region, around which, according to our information, operations of an operational or research nature were carried out or were being carried out. Taking into account the status of Hayk Konjoryan as a high-ranking official, as well as the information about the related persons related to the transaction, we were particularly interested in: • whether the Anti-corruption Committee has any materials or proceedings regarding the acquisition of the given real estate, • in what scope the possible actions were or are being carried out, • have the possible connections of the transaction with related persons or companies, as well as the circumstances of the conflict of interests, been verified?
In response to our inquiry, the RA Anti-Corruption Committee officially announced: "In relation to the real estate acquired by the CP faction leader Hayk Konjoryan, the operative-investigative first department of the RA Anti-Corruption Committee is carrying out verification operations."
Thus, the anti-corruption body confirms that checks are currently being carried out on the real estate acquired by Hayk Konjoryan. At the same time, the committee did not detail the content of the verification activities, their scope or possible results, which may be due to the requirements of confidentiality of operative-investigative activities."
