The French parliament rejected the second motion of no confidence in the government

The French National Assembly (the lower house of the parliament) rejected the second resolution of no confidence in the government of Sebastien Lecorne, as evidenced by the voting results.

"The resolution did not gather the necessary number of votes and was not adopted," Yael Bron-Pive, speaker of the chamber, said during the session.

This time the resolution was presented by the right-wing "National Unity" party, it was supported by 142 deputies. 289 votes out of 577 were needed for acceptance.

Earlier, the National Assembly rejected a similar resolution presented by the left-wing "Disobedient France" party. 269 ​​deputies supported that initiative.
