Ukraine receives 90% of its anti-missile missiles from the US under the PURL program

Ukraine receives 90% of used missile interceptors from US warehouses within the framework of the PURL (Prioritized Ukraine Requirements List) program, through which European countries finance military equipment provided by the United States. The representative of Ukraine in NATO, Alena Getmanchuk, stated this in an interview with the RBC-Ukraine agency.

"Air defense systems and missile interceptors are transferred, first of all, through the PURL program. We have no other way to get it, because about 75% of missiles of the Patriot system and about 90% of missile interceptors of other systems are obtained through the PURL program," he noted.

The PURL program was launched on July 14, 2025 by US President Donald Trump and NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte. According to this mechanism, NATO allies buy military equipment for Ukraine from US warehouses.
