Ankara is against any military intervention against Iran. Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan announced this during a briefing with local and international media in Istanbul.
He noted that Tehran should solve its internal problems independently.
He emphasized the importance of such an approach in the context of international relations, as Iran is subject to sanctions due to its policies.
"On the global nuclear issue, Iran also needs to urgently resolve differences diplomatically in order to solve the structural problems causing economic difficulties," Fidan said.
He noted that in the conditions of international isolation, the provision of certain economic services is limited.
"Iran has a large population and a dynamic people. This people is very active and highly developed. If you deprive them of certain things, these kinds of problems arise. Here, issues related to economic and other hardships are intertwined with ideological protest against the regime. After careful examination, there is nothing here that could whet the appetite of some of the countries hostile to Iran in terms of hostility to the regime. We don't want any intervention here, but if we look at Trump's policy, we have not yet seen him often resort to the use of ground force," Fidan said.
