Spain has canceled the purchase of ammunition from an Israeli company

Spain's Interior Ministry has announced it is terminating a contract to buy ammunition from an Israeli company, extending Spain's commitment not to sell arms to Israel, including purchases.

Cadena Ser radio station reported earlier that the civilian police agreed to buy more than 15 million 9mm rounds worth 6 million euros from Guardian LTD Israel.

"The Spanish government remains committed to not selling arms to the State of Israel since the beginning of the armed conflict in Gaza. Although in this case we are talking about the purchase of military equipment, the Ministry of Internal Affairs initiated administrative proceedings to cancel the purchase," the statement said.

The ministry said that Israeli companies will also be excluded from all current tenders.
