South Africa responded to a question about the prospect of Putin attending the G20 summit

The head of the press relations department of the South African government, William Baloy, answered RIA Novosti's question about the possibility of Russian President Vladimir Putin participating in the G20 summit online. He noted that Cyril Ramaphosa, the President of the Republic of South Africa, will probably personally announce the speakers.

"The work on the G20 meeting program is still in the final stage. I can confirm that international organizations, invited countries and G20 member states will arrive first.

President Ramaphosa will officially open the summit, followed by closed-door meetings. I think the president will announce the leaders who will speak at the summit," Baloi told the agency.

The Russian delegation at the summit is headed by Maxim Oreshkin, deputy head of the presidential staff.
