Iran has clearly presented its position and conditions on the situation around the Strait of Hormuz to the Commander-in-Chief of the Pakistani Ground Forces, Field Marshal Asim Munir. Iran has demanded that the United States return to the provisions of the Islamabad Memorandum. This was reported by the Tasnim news agency, citing an informed source.
According to the source, a person close to the Iranian negotiating team noted that, contrary to reports provided by some media outlets, the head of the Pakistani army, who arrived in Iran the day before, did not bring any threats or similar messages from the United States.
"On the contrary, he sought to expand the negotiation area and convey Iran's conditions and position to the American side," the source emphasized.
According to him, during the meetings with Munir, the Iranian side presented its demands in detail to the Pakistani representatives.
The source noted that one of Tehran's key demands is that the US return to the Islamabad memorandum and implement its provisions, including point 5, which concerns Iran's agreements on the Strait of Hormuz.
The source added that the Pakistani side intends to convey these conditions to American representatives.
