The ruling "Georgian Dream" party announced the inability of the opposition to organize a coup and a revolution in the country, NewsGeorgia reports.
"The opposition has no opportunity to organize a coup or a revolution in the country," stated the general secretary of the party, the mayor of Tbilisi, Kakha Kaladze, during the briefing held after the publication of the preliminary results of the parliamentary elections.
He called all such talks "speculation".
"When you make a coup, you must have the support of the society and the people. Today, the opposition, this radical group, has been defeated," Kaladze expressed his opinion.
He warned that any illegal step "will be followed by a very harsh reaction from the state".
