The head of the Georgian Security Service has resigned


Head of the Georgian State Security Service Henri Okhanashvili has left his position and assumed the post of Adviser to the National Security of the Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze. This was announced by Okanashvili.


"I would like to inform the public that I have decided to leave the post of Georgian State Security Service for the Georgian Prime Minister's National Security Adviser on the basis of consultations."


In his turn, Kobakhidze stated that the new head of the State Security Service will be the executive secretary of the ruling party Mamuka Mdinaradze.
