Double standards regarding criminal Azerbaijan. "Fact"

"Fact" daily writes:

In general, contradictory phenomena can be encountered in international relations, when the existing value system and internationally accepted norms, particularly the application of international law, become fragmented. Then the politicians and experts try to find reasons why the world order is being eroded and the existing international system is becoming inoperable. The reason is the application of double standards and criteria, when in one case the crime and arbitrariness committed in the international arena are condemnable, and in the other case they are not only not condemned, but also encouraged. There are all the facts that Azerbaijan committed specific military and genocidal crimes against the Armenians of Artsakh. In this matter, Aliyev has not stopped short of measures and will not stop, but instead of standing in front of international courts and becoming a target of sanctions, such a major international actor as, for example, the EU, at the level of the head of the European Commission, declares that Azerbaijan led by Aliyev is trustworthy. is a partner. The USA is also pressuring Azerbaijan, emphasizing the importance of that country, especially from the point of view of supplying energy resources. And the Russian Federation, in its turn, deepens cooperation with Azerbaijan. And in the conditions of such an international atmosphere, the Aliyev regime is preparing for the holding of the COP 29 climate conference in Baku. Azerbaijan has used all its international levers to ensure a large representation at the event, which will testify to the growing international reputation of Baku. The climate conference to be held in Baku is similar to, for example, Saddam Hussein being entrusted with organizing the Olympic Games in Baghdad, or, for example, Hitler being awarded the Nobel Peace Prize. It is true that the international community is turning a blind eye to the international crimes committed by Azerbaijan, but it is possible that there will come a time when the Aliyev regime will have to answer. On the other hand, it is ridiculous to hold the climate conference in a country whose economy is based on the export of hydrocarbon energy carriers, which pollute the atmosphere, not to mention that the export of oil in Azerbaijan costs nature dearly. Aliyev and his minions simply do not care about environmental protection, and now the same Aliyev regime is announcing the declaration of Artsakh as a green zone and is trying to attract investments in order to boost the development of green energy in Artsakh. At one time, the so-called "environmental" activists of Azerbaijan, protesting against the operation of the Kashen mine in Artsakh, blocked the Lachin corridor, but today Azerbaijan plans to exploit the mines of Artsakh in a big way and agreements are even reached with some investors in this direction. But, with all this, the shamelessness and impudence of Azerbaijan reaches the point that they demand that country to close the mining and other factories operating in Armenia, arguing that they cause great damage to the environment of their country and pollute it. They even want to get the opportunity to conduct monitoring in Armenian factories. Naturally, one of Azerbaijan's demands is to close the Metsamor nuclear power plant, which they attribute to a possible radiation disaster. The question is, how does Azerbaijan manage to cross all borders, but blame Armenia and formulate new demands? Perhaps one of the reasons is that Armenia is silent and does not actively work to bring Azerbaijan's frauds and crimes to the surface and to put concrete demands before it.
