Retired General of the Bundeswehr and member of the Bundestag from the Alternative for Germany party Joachim Wundrack, during his speech at the Bundestag, publicly criticized German Foreign Minister Annalena Bärbock for aggressive rhetoric against Russia. “Madam Foreign Minister, Germany is not at war with Russia. “We really must do everything to prevent this from happening as a result of further escalation or even sleepwalking,” he said, addressing Burbock.
Wundrak accused the Foreign Minister that Germany's current policy is harming the German people, and also recalled that defeating Russia by military means is unlikely.
“It may be in Germany’s interests not to support a long and bloody war of attrition, to weaken Russia, or even to try to defeat Russia militarily through Ukraine, which is unlikely, according to military experts,” the deputy warned.
Earlier, the media reported that the Green party, of which German Foreign Minister Annalena Bärbock is also a member, called for a review of the hostile policy towards Russia, as well as taking into account its security interests when resolving the Ukrainian conflict.
