Avet Poghosyan, the former deputy minister of BTA, was nominated as a candidate for the member of the National People's Congress.

"According to parts 2-3 of Article 197 of the RA Constitution, as well as Article 145 of the RA Constitutional Law "Regulations of the National Assembly", the "Civil Contract" faction has nominated Avet Williami Poghosyan for the vacant seat of a member of the RA Television and Radio Commission. : The issue was discussed at the October 17 session of the National Assembly's Standing Committee on Science, Education, Culture, Diaspora, Youth and Sports," reports the National Assembly.

Avet Poghosyan spoke about the structure, noting that a significant part of the news feed is outside the regulation. He emphasized the issue of legislative regulation of the sector, noted that legislative regulations should be more frequent, in small numbers, based on practice. He noted that he is principled in the issue of freedom of speech and as an independent member of the commission he will be objective and maintain political neutrality. "I am sure that freedom of speech will be in a better condition as a result of my work," the candidate emphasized. Avet Poghosyan also answered the MPs' questions.

The commission decided to propose the candidacy of Avet Poghosyan to the National Assembly as a member of the RA Television and Radio Commission.
