Harutyun K., a 36-year-old resident of Yerevan, applied to the Criminal Police Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Armenia and informed that in April 2025, on the instructions of the former Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia, Hovik Abrahamyan, they founded the "Smart Cargo" company in Armenia in the name of his sister, Alla K., who lives with him in Yerevan, which was supposed to be engaged in importing sugar from the Russian Federation to Armenia.
Shamshyan.comAccording to the information of Harutyun K., he told the criminal police that he had to invest the money in H. Abrahamyan, who, however, invested a small amount, and after some time withdrew all the money from the company.
He also informed that H. The loan of 470 million drams taken on the instruction and mediation of Abrahamyan, deliberately creating features of bankruptcy, caused him property damage in the form of missed profit, which amounted to about 6-7 million dollars, and all of this was caused by the loss of about 16 million drams per day as a result of not importing the batch of 100 thousand tons of sugar stipulated in the contracts.
Harutyun K. also informed that H. Abrahamyan in 2026 since May demanded from him not to deal with the import of sugar in general, only to act as an intermediary for former NA deputy Samvel Aleksanyan to import sugar, for which he offered a sum of 15-20 thousand dollars, because for more than 30 years it was considered S. Aleksanyan's business, otherwise he was threatened that his legs will be broken or he will be beaten somewhere one day.
The prepared documents were transferred from the police to the RA Investigative Committee.
