British Foreign Secretary to visit China


British Foreign Secretary David Lammy will arrive in China on an official visit on October 18-19. Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Mao Ning announced this at a briefing. “At the invitation of Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi, British Foreign Secretary David Lammy will pay an official visit to China on October 18-19,” she said.

Mao Ning also noted that "the long-term and stable development of relations between China and Great Britain meets the common interests of both sides and the international community, and also facilitates response to global challenges, promotes peace and global development."

She expressed the PRC's readiness to "cooperate with the UK to maintain partnership status, mutual benefit, and promote stability and long-term development of bilateral relations."
