Frequent use of chicken meat is associated with high risk of cancer

Scientists from the Italian National Institute of Gastroenterology have found that regular use of more than 300 grams per week increases the risk of developing digestive cancer. The results of the research were published in the Nutrients magazine.

During their work, experts have analyzed the data on the health and food of almost five thousand people over the age of 50, which have been collected for two decades. Scientists have found that those who eat more than four poultry (300 grams) poultry were twice as likely to die of gastrointestinal cancer than those who ate less than one section.

People with such a diet also found themselves at the risk of developing liver, pancreas, gallbladder and direct bowel cancer. In addition, the use of a large amount of chicken meat was connected with any reason to increase the risk of death by 27%.

Moreover, these risks were higher among men, although the reasons for that are not yet complete. Possible explanations may include male and women between hormonal level differences, as well as the fact that men tend to use more meat.

Scientists believe that harmful chemicals produced in high temperatures of chicken can cause damage to cells and contribute to cancer.

While working on the study, the authors took into account factors such as bad habits and the index of the body mass of the participants. However, scientists have acknowledged that the lack of information on the level of physical activity could have a serious limit to work.
