At least 22 people were killed, including 12 women and 2 children, following an Israeli airstrike on a residential building in the town of Eito in northern Lebanon. He noted that OHCHR is “aware of reports” of deaths in Eito. "We heard that among the 22 killed, 12 were women and 2 children," the official said. As Lawrence emphasized, a four-story residential building was bombed in Eito.
In this regard, the OHCHR, he noted, is “concerned about compliance with international humanitarian law.” The OHCHR office in Lebanon called for a “prompt and independent investigation into this incident.” On September 23, Israel launched Operation Arrows of the North against the Shiite Hezbollah movement in Lebanon, during which it carries out massive strikes on the organization’s military targets.
