By the decision of Yerevan Council of Elders, RA People's Artist, stage director Armen Khandikyan was awarded the title of Honorary Citizen of Yerevan. On the occasion of Yerevan's 2806th anniversary and for his significant contribution to the development of art in the capital, the draft decision to award Armen Khandikyan the title of Honorary Citizen was presented for discussion at the October 15 session of the Council of Elders on the recommendation of the mayor. By another decision in the council, the title of honorary citizen of Yerevan was awarded to opera singer, People's Artist of RA Barsegh Tumanyan.
According to the decision of the Council of Elders, Levon Tokmajyan, sculptor, People's Artist of RA, also received the title of honorary citizen of Yerevan.
