The General Director of IEA plans to visit Russia in May. "RIA Novosti"

The Director General of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) Rafael Grossi plans to visit Russia in May, probably to Kaliningrad, to discuss the technical aspects related to the Zaporizhia NPP, he said in an interview with "RIA Novosti".

"Perhaps it will be at the end of May. And at that time, I hope, I will manage to conduct another round of technical negotiations," Grossi said, answering the question about his intention to visit Rosastan.

He added that he can visit Kaliningrad.

Grossi also stated that he intends to discuss with the Russian side the issues of the safety system of the NPP, which refer to the fuel and the object itself.

"Several topics will be discussed, all of them of a technical nature," Grossi said. He noted that all topics will be related to the Zaporizhia NPP.

According to him, in all probability during the discussions, Russia will be represented by the head of "Rosatom" Alexey Likhachev.
