CBC. Trump will try to resolve Ukraine's issue at the Russia-US summit

US President Donald Trump will try to close the issue of Ukraine's conflict with Russian President Vladimir Putin in Alaska, Canadian CBC reports.

"By holding a historical meeting with Putin in Alaska, Trump will try to walk around the Ukrainian war page," CBC said.

"The meeting with the President of Russia is Trump's experience to make his promise and finally stop fighting operations in Ukraine."

The TV channel noted that the talks will lead to a statement "significant decision", which will eventually lead to the suspension of the conflict, "but given the US President's approach to diplomacy, there is always an opportunity to progress."

The SVS added that in addition to the topic of the Ukrainian conflict, the leaders of the Russian Federation and the United States will discuss other important security issues, such as the control of nuclear weapons.
