Azerbaijan has started massive demolition of residential buildings in Stepanakert


"The administration of Azerbaijan has started mass demolition of residential buildings in the occupied Stepanakert," warns Sergey Shahverdyan, Secretary of the State Council for the Protection of Cultural Heritage in the Occupied Territories of Artsakh.

He reports that over the past few days, the capital's historic districts along Tumanyan Street have been razed to the ground, thereby violating the property rights of thousands of owners of private buildings from the 19th and early 20th centuries.

Let us remind that today an action will be held at the initiative of Artsakh Republic Human Rights Defender Gegham Stepanyan. specifically at 11:00 a.m., they plan to carry out actions in front of the UN Office in Armenia, the RA Foreign Ministry, the embassies of the Russian Federation, the French Republic and the United States of America in RA, during which letters will be delivered to the addressees regarding the November 2024 UN- ahead of the Climate Change Conference (COP29) to organize actions in different countries of the world demanding the immediate release of Armenian prisoners of war and hostages illegally held in Azerbaijan.
