Extraordinary presidential elections will be held in the Republic of Abkhazia on February 5. They were appointed after the previous President Aslan Bzhana resigned in November 2024 due to domestic conflict. This was reported by RBC.
The Central Electoral Commission of the Republic has registered five candidates.
According to the forecast of the All-Russian Center for Public Opinion (VTSIOM), Gunba is the leader (42.3%), followed by Artra (27.3%), Arshban (11.2%), Barz (9.6) %) and the Khurkhal (4.4%). If the forecast is correct, the second stage will take place.
