A cultural event dedicated to Tumanyan's 155th anniversary was organized in Moscow

On the initiative of the Cultural Center of the Embassy of the Republic of Armenia in the Russian Federation, a cultural event dedicated to the 155th anniversary of the great Armenian poet Hovhannes Tumanyan took place in Moscow.

The head of the cultural center, Vladimir Gabbe, made the opening speech, who referred to the universal value of Tumanyan's work, noting that it was not only highly appreciated by the literary greats of the time, but also continues to influence the cultural rapprochement of Armenians and other peoples.

During the evening, Alina Gasumyanova, director of the "Perspectum" publishing house, presented another literary magazine dedicated to the great writer, and art critic, producer Palina Pavlovich delivered a lecture: "The Literary Vernatun of Hovhannes Tumanyan, against the background of literary cooperation at the beginning of the 20th century (Yerevan, Tbilisi, Moscow, Petersburg)" theme.

The speaker referred to the activities of the Armenian literary circles of the time and the themes of the works, presenting them to the overview of the legacy left by Russian and world cultural figures of the late 19th and early 20th centuries.

After that, the performance about Vernata staged by the youth theater studio operating in the cultural center was presented to the attention of those present. The works of the great writer were performed in Armenian and Russian.

The event was attended by representatives of the Armenian community, Russian cultural figures, professors of Moscow state universities, employees of the RA Embassy in Russia.
