Sudan expects to strengthen its positions after emerging from the current crisis. This will also be facilitated by the republic's international contacts, including with Russia, which on February 12 "heard and understood" Sudan's position, said Sudanese Foreign Minister Ali Youssef Sharif.
After negotiations with his Russian counterpart Sergey Lavrov, the diplomat recalled that now the initiative for the "war for the honor of the people and state of Sudan" has passed to the side of the army. "The current situation will lead to Sudan strengthening its positions, including within the framework of contacts at the international level," the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic is convinced.
According to him, such a development of the situation will make it possible to "clarify for everyone what is really happening in Sudan," including through contacts with Russia. "During our meeting, we were convinced that we were heard, understood, and were able to express our position," the Minister emphasized.
Ali Youssef Sharif noted that this also applies to a number of other countries, such as Saudi Arabia and Egypt.
