During her meeting with US Vice President James David Vance, European Commission (EC) President Ursula von der Leyen stressed the EU’s commitment to a just and lasting peace for Ukraine. This was stated in a statement following the meeting.
“Following the AI Summit in Paris, von der Leyen and Vice President Vance reaffirmed the strength of the EU-US relationship and its vital role in the current geopolitical landscape,” the EC said. “President von der Leyen underlined the EU’s commitment to a just and lasting peace for Ukraine.
She stressed the need for continued unwavering support for Ukraine,” the statement said.
