A memorandum of cooperation was signed between the RA Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sports and "Agarak Copper-Molybdenum Combine" closed joint-stock company for the purpose of moving, preserving and restoring the Church of St. Sargis (17th century) of Kuris village, Syunik marz, to Agarak city, Syunik marz. are from KGSMN.

The memorandum was signed by Alfred Kocharyan, the deputy minister of the Ministry of Civil Engineering, and Alexander Belaev, the director, on behalf of "Agarak Copper-Molybdenum Combine" CJSC.

Alfred Kocharyan, the deputy minister of KGSMS, emphasized the importance of public-private sector cooperation for the protection of cultural heritage.

"We are ready to cooperate and provide support for the benefit of preserving and popularizing our monuments and cultural heritage," Alfred Kocharyan noted and added, "it is important for the private sector to be active and for such processes to be as many as possible."

Alexander Belaev also thanked for the trust and cooperation and expressed hope that the beginning of the public benefit work will definitely succeed.

According to the memorandum, the Ministry of Science and Technology will discuss the scientific project documents of the monument and issue a conclusion, approve the presented work projects, as well as provide professional and legal advice and support, etc.

"Agarak Copper-Molybdenum Combine" CJSC will carry out the works of moving the monument and restoring it to a new place with its own funds, having previously agreed with the Ministry of Civil Engineering.
