The Israeli Foreign Minister will discuss the situation with the UN

Israeli Foreign Minister Gideon Saar has announced that he will leave for New York on Monday to speak on the UN Security Council and discuss the situation with the Palestinian Hamas movement in the Gaza Strip.

The conference on the settlement of the Middle East and the prospects of the recognition of the Palestinian state started at the UN headquarters in New York. It was chaired by France and Saudi Arabia.

"I will go to New York this evening to take part in the UN Security Council meeting, which is scheduled for tomorrow and will be dedicated to the situation of hostages," said Saar during a press conference.

In his speech, Saar stressed that Hamas still holds 50 hostages, who are starving and tormented. The politician claims that the radicals have kidnapped civilians to impose their conditions, so the international community must end such dangerous phenomena.
