More than 300 members of the CIS observation mission were accredited in the presidential elections of Belarus. This was announced by the head of the mission headquarters, First Deputy Secretary General of the Commonwealth Leonid Anfimov.

"A major CIS mission has already been accredited," Belta agency quotes. The First Deputy Secretary General of the CIS clarified that the mission includes 40 long-term observers. "They actually represent the headquarters of the mission," he added.

According to Anfimov, the upcoming elections are of great interest for the CIS countries, taking into account the image of Belarus in the international arena.
