The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Armenia expressed its condolences to the families of the victims of the earthquake in China.
"We are deeply saddened to learn about the earthquake that occurred in China, which caused casualties and destruction.
We express our condolences to the families of the victims and pray for the speedy recovery of the injured," the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said.
The 6.8-magnitude earthquake occurred in Tingri County, Shigatsi Region, Tibet Autonomous Region. The source of the earthquake was located at a depth of 10 kilometers.
There are 3 cities and 27 villages within a radius of 20 km from the epicenter of the earthquake, where about 6.9 thousand people live. After the earthquake, seismologists recorded 49 aftershocks. The number of victims has exceeded 100.
