Azerbaijan tightens the rules of residence for Russian citizens

The Cabinet of Ministers of Azerbaijan has tightened the rules of stay in the country for Russian citizens. The relevant resolution was signed by Prime Minister of Azerbaijan Ali Asadov.

"Citizens of the Russian Federation, as well as persons permanently residing in the Russian Federation, but without Russian citizenship, can stay in the territory of Azerbaijan without a visa for no more than 90 days in one calendar year," the document states.

Previously, citizens of the Russian Federation could stay in Azerbaijan without a visa for up to 180 days a year.
