Officials of Kentron administrative district received large bribes


According to the criminal proceedings initiated on the basis of the measures carried out by the operative-investigative department of the Anti-corruption Committee, it was found that A. A., his deputy and employee of the same department H. With the prior agreement with S., as part of the group, using their official powers and the influence caused by them, they received large bribes to perform actions in favor of the bribe giver.

According to the committee, the preliminary investigation proved that the mentioned officials A. To organize the process of granting Sh. a permit to engage in outdoor trade in various places of Kentron administrative district without obstacles, that is, In order to install the coffee machines in Sh.'s preferred locations and to grant permission to operate, they demanded a large bribe, totaling 2,700 USD, to which he agreed.

According to the agreement, A. On July 28, 2024, Sh. S. transferred a bribe of 2,700 US dollars, which the above-mentioned officials divided among themselves the next day at work.

Three officials of the Kentron administrative district were charged with accepting large bribes under the 1st and 2nd clauses of Article 435, Part 2 of the RA Criminal Code.

In order to bribe the latter, A. Sh. was charged under part 1 of Article 436 of the RA Criminal Code.

Arrest was applied to all the accused. The criminal investigation was completed. The prosecutor confirmed the indictment and the proceedings were sent to the court for consideration.
