Manuk Sukiasyan, head of the "Mother Armenia" faction of the Yerevan Council of Elders, writes on his Facebook page:
"No free parking in the center. Since the city authorities have already poured 1 billion drams into the city budget under the name of load shedding and distributed rewards to themselves in the same amount as of September, their appetites have opened and they are going to paint 8 more short streets with red lines. Naturally, the center will continue to be overloaded, but not a single car will be "parked", and their bonus budget will increase. A New Year's gift for them, a "gift" for the people of Yerevan.
