Israel will suffer a crushing defeat due to the invasion of Syria, the forces of Islamic resistance will continue the struggle. The supreme leader of Iran, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, announced this at a meeting with Iranian women.
"Taking advantage of the events taking place in Syria, the USA, the Zionist regime (meaning Israel, TASS) and some of their allies continue to commit crimes and try to present the change of power in Damascus as the end of the resistance. The Gaza Strip and Lebanon continue to fight.
"Israel invaded Syrian land to surround and destroy Hezbollah's forces. But it is Israel that will be destroyed," the Iranian leader said.
On December 8, the Israeli military took control of the Syrian side of the Hermon mountain range in the Golan Heights without encountering any resistance.
