Extraordinary elections of the Council of Elders in Gyumri will be held on March 30, according to the established dates.
"According to the Electoral Code, the special elections are held after the decision on calling the special elections of the councils comes into force, not earlier than 30, and not later than 40 days, at the latest on Sunday," said the correspondent of "Armenpress" to the election. Press Secretary of the Central Electoral Commission Seda Ghukasyan informed in response to the question about the possible date.
The government adopted a decision on December 12, according to which extraordinary elections of the Gyumri Council of Elders will be scheduled. The decision to schedule new elections will come into force on February 20, 2025.
Considering that the decision comes into force on February 20, and the elections are held on Sunday, most likely, the Gyumri Council of Elders elections will be held on March 30.
