The USA is losing the initiative on all fronts, and in the post-Soviet space Washington has started to fail in general. Armenia and Azerbaijan "do not really listen to the proposals of the USA and the EU regarding the peaceful settlement, preferring to solve all the issues independently".
Sergey Naryshkin, Director of the Foreign Intelligence Service of the Russian Federation, said this in an interview with the Russian magazine "Разведчик".
"The American "obsession" with Ukraine is beginning to have a destructive effect on the entire global financial and military-political system built by Washington. The US is losing the initiative on all fronts, from the Middle East to Asia and Africa. And in the post-Soviet territory, they started to fail," said Naryshkin.
In this context, he cited the example of the South Caucasus and Moldova. "Look, in Georgia, where the puppet (Mikhail) Saakashvili was eating the tie recently, the West could not prevent the ruling Georgian Dream party from winning the elections.
Realizing the dangers of reckless orientation towards the West, the Georgian authorities have decided to act in their own interests and are now consciously moving away from an ultra-liberal agenda imposed from outside, which is extremely alien to traditional Georgian values.
